It was my birthday on the 10th of November! – Happy birthday to me – Last year I wrote a post reflecting on the year that had gone by creative wise. I thought that’s a good habit to keep so here is my post for this year. For this post and the HQAL, the definition of hand-quilting is stretched. Technically speaking hand quilting is only the process of sewing through all the layers of a quilt. However, to me, hand piecing is also part of this HQAL, which is sewing pieces of fabric together to create the quilt blocks. There are two reasons why hand quilting is important for every quilter: 1. When learning a new technique. 2. Precision.
